City of Belmont
The City of Belmont, Schneider Tree Care, and Girl Scout Troop 946 have teamed up to replace the tree at the Stowe Park playground during the recent snowstorm.
The City needed to replace the tree with a fast-growing tree that would provide shade for the playground and some additional color to the park in the fall. Tree Board members Ryan Chipman, a Certified Arborist with Schneider Tree Care in Charlotte, and Marie Turner, the troop leader of Belmont’s Girl Scout Troop 946, are donating time and money to help the City plant an October Glory maple tree at the playground. The girl scouts will use some of the money they raised during this year’s Girl Scout cookie sale to help pay for the tree and will also assist Mr. Chipman with planting the tree. Schneider Tree Care is donating its time and services to plant the tree.
Greenville Council of Garden Clubs
The purpose of the Greenville Council of Garden Clubs, Inc. is to promote the love of gardening. The Council of Garden Clubs maintains Kilgore-Lewis house and several areas of beauty and tranquility in Greenville.
The Garden Club has hosted our company wide training day at Kilgore-Lewis House and we pruned and shaped a lot of trees! We also sponsor the Club’s Arbor Day activities and donate wood chips for various projects.
Mini Miracles Farm
Mini Miracles Farm is home to several animals that have been rescued from abuse or neglect or donated by well meaning individuals who could no longer keep up the animals. These additions to our “island of misfit toys” are lovingly cared for by the volunteers and children who participate in our different programs. We focus on including children with special needs as well as those who have an interest in learning about and working with animals.
Miracle Hill Ministries
Miracle Hill Ministries began as a small rescue mission in downtown Greenville. Since then, they have grown with the Upstate — expanding to meet the changing and diverse needs of homeless, hungry and destitute people. With locations in four upstate counties: Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens and Cherokee, Miracle Hill operates four adult shelters, two children’s shelters, an emergency food outreach and eight thrift stores. They are also home to two highly successful, Christ-centered addiction recovery programs: Renewal for women, and Overcomers for men.
Roper Mountain Science Center
Roper Mountain Science Center exists because of a unique partnership of public ownership, corporate sponsorship, private support, and volunteers. Science enrichment programs are presented in an exciting and entertaining manner that makes learning fun.
Safe Harbor helps victims of domestic violence, providing safe emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and community outreach and education in Greenville, Pickens, Anderson and Oconee Counties. We have two unmarked, confidential emergency shelters—one in Greenville, one in Anderson—with controlled access and 24/7 staffing.
South Carolina Governor’s School
Residential high school for artistically talented students.
Trees Greenville was formed in 2005 to help preserve the quality of life that has attracted so many residents and businesses to the upstate.
Keeping Greenville’s trees green and healthy is what we’re all about. Schneider’s partnership with Trees Greenville has included donating trees for silent auctions, promoting membership in our mailings and treating trees at planting sites. Scott Carlson, one of our Arborists, serves on the board.
Following the example of Christ, builds healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
With camper cabins nestled among the trees, regular pruning and inspection of the trees is essential for safety. Schneider participates in 4 volunteer weekends a year to do prunings and removals of unsafe trees.
Center for Development Services
A unique partnership linking families with services for developmental support.
Schneider Tree Care helped Taylors Elementary School revitalize their play ground. This included the removal of rocks and the installation of mulch as a replacement.
Helping Camp Greenville make unforgettable experiences that provide a lifetime of memories.
